It can be a nightmare trying to find days out and places to go that suite everyone in your family especially when there's extra needs to accommodate . We've saved you the hassle of looking and found a choice of family days out in England that are accessible for wheelchair users, pushchairs and people who use aids to get around:

Adventure Island

Situated in on the famous South End pier, Adventure Island amusements park (previously known as Peter Pan's Adventure Island) has got everything you could need for the perfect family day out. Enjoy the rides with a view of the sea and bring the whole family. There's a lift for prams and wheelchairs located in front of the ride band sales and they also have a accessibility policy available to download on their website. Entrance is free and you buy a choice of bands to suite your family for the rides.

iFly Manchester

iFly (previously called Airkix) is an indoor skydiving centre. Flying is suitable for ages between 3 and 103. To top it off people with disabilities are also welcome to fly and the company describe the experience they offer as an 'ideal' activity for people with disabilities to take part in.

Chichester harbour

Enjoy the scenic West wittering beach and Solar Heritage boat trips at Chichester harbour. If you call their office on 01243 513275 and let them know that you need disabled access Solar boat trips can get the boats wheelchair lift ready for use.

At -Bristol

This is the UK's largest interactive science centre so definitely one for any Science fanatics out there. They have loads of live shows there and hundreds of exhibits. They are a suitable for anyone to visit and have a full list of accessibility that they offer for both disabled and families on their website.

Banham Zoo

Everybody loves a day at the Zoo! Some obvious things are not wheelchair or pushchair friendly, such as the woodland trail but everything else is reasonably easy to access with a pushchair or wheelchair and staff are happy to assist in any way they can. Viewing areas are also wheelchair friendly.

Battersea Park

This children's Zoo in London is Wheelchair and mobility scooter friendly as well as offering discounts for disabled visitors and their carers. If you have any special requirements you can ring them before your trip on their general enquiries number 0207 924 5826.

Bedgebury Pinetum

This beautiful national park is perfect for a picnic with the family. Most of the Blue route forest path is wheelchair friendly and there is a wheelchair available to borrow at reception free of charge, they also have some disabled parking bays.

Bournemouth beach and Bournemouth balloon

Whether you fancy a day at the beach or a ride in a hot air balloon they both have good access for disabled and people with prams. The beach offices have sand buggies available for wheelchair users and lots of disabled parking bays. Ring in advance to secure a sand buggy on 01202 451773.
