5 free days out in Wales

Here's 5 free places to go for a family day out on a budget in Wales

St. Fagans

The welsh history open-air museum is a fantastic place for a family day out. You can take a picnic and walk around the beautiful gardens and spend the day investigating welsh life throughout history walking back in time through their model houses, school and court. The perfect museum for a summers day.

Parc Penallta

Parc Penallta is so big you can spend all day wandering with the kids ,nature spotting, following their trails, playing on the giant pony or enjoying the spectacular views from the view spot.

Roath Park

this park has got the perfect paths for roller blades and learning to ride a bike, on top of that it has a huge play park with a giant slide, ducks to feed, peddle boats, ice-cream and tranquil gardens full of every flower you could think of.

Cardiff museum

This is an easy place to occupy kids on a rainy day. Visit the land of dinosaurs and watch one of the astronomy shows.

Margam country park

This is one of my favourite places to go in Wales. It has loads of gardens to wander, a big manor house to explore and a beautiful miniature fairy tale village. There is a mini train ride through the park that passes farm animals and a big outdoor adventure park for the kids.
