Our Home Education plan for this year
Even though we don't really follow school terms, Cain's birthday is in September and so is Lincoln's so it makes sense for us to start our learning year in September so we can keep track on the progress we're making. We don't follow the national curriculum and although tweaked to our family and our plans we use a Waldorf inspired curriculum. We don't buy our curriculum we make it ourselves as we want to keep lots of time free for topics the kid's chose to learn about too, but

Firstly we were really happy to have found a book on mining suitable for children but on top of that, the story is actually located in the area we live i

Whether your'e a Home Ed family looking for fresh learning ideas or your'e looking into Home Education and want to know what people get up to, then take a look at our list of just some of the learning we've done in our first year of (mainly child-led) Home Education. Maths For most of our Maths learning we have used The number Gnomes mathematical tale, which is Maths taught through story, we love it and Cain seems to get really engaged and remembers everything. Roman numerals

10 fun outdoor learning activities
Most kids don't want to be stuck indoors all day, some even prefer being outdoors for the majority of their time so why not take advantage of that and take your learning outdoors. As well as being fun and educational for the kids it does a load of good for us parents to get out of the house once in a while too. Here's 10 outdoor learning activities we do, why not give them a go. 1 - Word hunt This one is brilliant for kids not keen on writing or spelling. We chose ten flash
